2157. That’s the number of days it has been since we first asked Yukon Government to implement a procedure in schools that will help kids with Type 1 diabetes manage their disease. Our asks are small:
Get a set of procedures in place that will better support kids living with T1D.
Have a term position serve to help schools in understanding their role in supporting kids living with T1D.
To avoid severe hypoglycaemia, have glucagon available in all schools.
Yukon Government is prioritizing bureaucratic process and cost-savings over the health of children living with disease. Will it take another SIX YEARS for Yukon Government to step up to the plate and do the right thing?
Our children’s lives matter.
